Illuminiation switches in mid console aft

Illuminiation switches in mid console aft
None of the switches have light for night driving, seems strange to me that all bulbs are broken, any tip??

Really?
I got the 2000 ML brand new in 2000...didn't knew 98s even lacked that....I know they lacked ESP, but not even illimuinated window switches? That's too much..

Dont know about 1998s. But 1999s have rear window switch illumination. And it depends on childlock. When childlock is enabled then the rear window switches are not illuminated.
