From what I have read on the forums Alpine typically has been charging around $350-$375 to repair them. I have never seen a unit on eBay that cheap. I think I paid $700 for mine on eBay with a new DVD NAV disk and thought I got a fantastic deal. "mbdoctor" has one on there now for $799 - Buy It Now. Wouldn't the dealer just send it to Alpine and then tack on their (dealer) fee? Can't hurt to contact Alpine first. Toll free numbers are just that - free. Let us know what you find out. Good luck.

What's wrong with it ?
Whats it not doing ?
FYI I have the Alpine service handbooks in my possession for the MCS - I have an old buddy who works in their service centre in the UK.
