Angry My "check engine" went on..what does that mean?

I know this can mean anything, but I checked the manual and it states that it can be your gas cap tighten or your fuel filter has to be changed. I noticed this after filling up, so I didn't worry to much. The next day, it went away. wheew.

So, today I filled up the gas tank and again the "Check engine" when on. I'm like, what the hell?

So before I turn it in to the dealer,( and pay million dollars :P) has anyone have/had this problem in the past? and if so, what is the problem?

Thanks
Andaya

Gas cap is only one of the many items that will turn this on. Most of the items are emmissions related. Most likely its an O2 sensor that has failed. The dealer is about the only one that can read out the computer and detirmine exactly which component to change

do you you turn your engine off when you fill up?

If you don't, you can generate that error message.
