2001 ML 320 Sport Pkg.
Performance Mods

Hello,

I am new to this forum. I own a 2001 ML320. I would to modify a few things. Has anyone successfully chipped or remap this engine? If so, what was the HP gain.

Oh, I am not going to buy a ML55. That's not the answer I am looking for. The last forum I joined was full of negativity. I am just looking to modify a few things like the exhaust, grill, bumper bar, and the interior.

Thanks

Something I absolutely love
You could start with an intake. I don't have one yet but I hear they give a noticeable power gain and give it a more deeper sound.

We've got exhausts, Intakes, Chips, and other modifications from tuners like RennTech, Carlsson, Brabus, etc... We'll be happy to help you out

The ML320 is a normally aspirated engine.....

therefore any chip tuning likely raises the RPM limit slightly but will not improve performance significantly.

The same goes for 'performance' inlets, air filters and exhausts - indeed some of them can have just the opposite effect - but they 'sound' more powerful.

I'm yet to see any definitive dyno chart that proves beyond reasonable doubt that anyone of the above 'enhancements' actually work.

I'd suggest a Kleemann super charger.
