Just wanted to know if you guys could tell me what type of headlight bulbs a 2003 ML350 takes??? I want to replace them with HID bulbs. I searched but couldn't find the numbers needed.

I have used both the Philips Visionplus and the Osram Silverstar, both significantly better than standard OEM and both much the same quality; they have lasted about 2 years which I don't find too bad.

Out Of Control!!
try some of the PIAA bulbs that are xenon gas charged... I know many people have had great luck with those and then there is another german company which matches the xenon look and somewhat brightness

Osram SilverStars are not the same as Sylvania SilverStars.
I went through 3 sets of low beam Sylvania SS in 1 1/2 years. I should note, however, that in Toronto the headlights are on all the time when the car is running (day and night).
Best combination:
H7 ralley+65 Osram (65 watts)
H1+50 Narva Rangepower
I've had these for just over a year, and they are brighter and still going.
