need a little help here.....

the roof rack on my 04 ml broke need to replace only the driver side , dealer wants 1k to fix , im sure i can do it myself if i knew the correct procedure the dealer said i have to remove the headliner , is this true?

yes, you will need to remove the headliner to get access to all the necessary fasteners..
