i'm thinking to get a nerf bars for my 2001 ml 430. i'm not getting them from the dealer i will try to get it from e-bay so i'm just wondering if anyone of you bought it from e-bay and if the after market one are good or no? the truth is that i'm getting them for the look, i have no problem getting in or out of the car but i have seen it on too many ml's and i like the look of it. by the way are they safe cuze i was doing search on this site and someone mention that if you got hit by a lowerd car really fast there is a chance to flip, so please let me know asap and thank's in advance,

There is always a chance to flip when T-boned in a suv. If you like the look the only draw back is that the bars actually drop your body clearance if you go off road.

 

I'm thinking of selling mine if you want to check them out. I live in So CA (Orange County). They're OEM mercedes bar.

i wouldn't buy them from ebay... too much at stake...
get either from the forum or a reputable brand...

 

They are in chrome. I wanna get rid of them for around $150 or something. I believe some guy told me these sold at MB dealer for $500-$800 . I don't think I want to ship them out since theyre pretty long and heavy. If you have a chance to come down here, you can come by and check it out. Thanks
