2003 C32 & 2001 ML430
Is it possible to put a DVD MCS in a 2001 ML430
I currently have the MCS CD based drive for the GPS and want to put in the DVD based drive from a 2004 ML55. Is it just plug and play or do I need to get additional parts/reprogrammed to get it to work?

Thank you. I saw that article. But that refers to a car that never had it and one that does not have the CAN bus system. My ML430 already has the GPS module and is on the CAN bus system. So is it just plug and play or do I need something else?

plug and play, and the ML55 stopped production in 2003 so it couldnt of come from a 2004...
also I would just make sure the wiring harnesses on the 2001 and 2004 are the same
They are the same plugs, but the pins on them other then the speaker wires could be different different.

Thank you. I just confirmed that it was a 03 ML55 and not a 04. Great. So it is just get the DVD module from him, plug it in and it should work?
My friend had a 02 ML55 and changed the drive to a DVD. It was plug and play. So I want to make sure that I can do the same thing on a 01
