ML500 Bose Sound System
I recenly bought an ml500 w/ the bose audio system and i thought it was lacking bass. I added a rockford fosgate amplified bass tube and took the feed from the bass tube from under the drivers seat. I think there is a system on the truck that changes the volume when driving at different speeds which may be the reason for my problem. Sporatically, the volume jumps to really high and then goes to really low, but it only happens when the bass tube is plugged in. If anyone has any information or fix for this problem, it would be greately appreciated.

bose components are seldom compatible with aftermarket components. ie. their input and output signals are not aftermarket uniform standards.
i agree the bose sub is not much of a sonic marvel since i do not like bandpass designs.
you might want to experiment with blitz adapters or pheriperal products that know more about OEM/aftermarket compatibility.

You can have dealer disable...
The dealer can disable the effects of the Bose "audiopilot" feature which annoyingly varies the volume based on speed/ambient car noise. I'm going to have mine disabled at my first service.
