Help w/Key Lock on '01ML430
Hi:
My wifes '01 ML430 no longer flashes 3 times after locking the car with the Remote Key. All 4 doors & the rear hatch all lock, but there is no longer a 3 flash confirmation from the lights.
Is there something I can do myself to "Reset" the car computer and get this working again without having to take it to the dealer ?

Also be sure your hood and sunroof are completely closed along with all the doors and the rear hatch.

When this happened to our '01 ML430, they determined the trip computer was at fault. I had it replaced under warranty, and it hasn't ever happened again. I think there are alarm system sensors in the trip computer assembly, and my SA said the unit was not serviceable, so they replaced it. I have no idea what it would have cost out of warranty, though.
