98 ML 320 HELP!! stops running while driving/won't start
I'm new to this...and desperately need help!! A couple of days ago I was driving and my ML just stopped running. I had to wait a few minutes, then it restarted, no problems, no indicator lights. Over the next couple of days it has happened more. Now it won't start at all, or when it does, runs for about 1/2 mile and shuts off again.
Have a new battery-less than 1 year old. Alternator OK. Checked fuses, ok. Fluids ok. Have had somoeone check codes and cleared them...ok there, too.
I do have a valet key, and it has never been able to start the vehicle. When I tried to use the valet key, ignition just turns over and over, but won't start.
Was wondering if perhaps my key is worn (?) or there is a chip problem with it?
Can someone help????? Thanks!

It could be a number of reasons this could happen. First get a diagnostic check done to know exactly where the problem is, if you want to try something change your cps (crankshaft positioning sensor) it might help. Good Luck.

2001 ML320 fully loaded except the damn navigation sytem.
Well, i just had that expericence this weekend. After gassing up my truck, it wouldnt crank, ten minutes later it cranked with no problem. Then this morning, the same thing happened again. I was pissed, very pissed at that. Especially after replacing the fuel pump and the fuel lines a few months back ($1200). Luckily it was only $350 to get fixed, but my wife is like,"If anything happens to that truck again, it goes." For 75, i wish i knew how to fix that myself, but i only fix computers.

you can do it yourself if you try.
I didnt know how to fix it either before i read about it in the forums. there are 3 mercedes forums. book mark them all.
