Poor fuel economy in 01 ML 320
My 01 ML 320 is getting roughly 10-11 MPG right now and I have a new air filter, fresh oil, and I even cleaned the MAF. Tire pressure is good as well. I have no error codes and the CEL is off so I am guessing an O2 sensor or the MAF is going bad. Accelerations seems more sluggish than previously which seems to be an indicator the MAF could be bad. Anybody else had symptoms like this?

It is very likely the spark plugs...

My mileage had dropped to 12 mpg too...the day I changed my spark plugs....it went back up to 17-18 mpg....

Could be as posted above and/or the MAF may be marginal (They are consumables and not designed to be cleaned) or even perhaps an O2 sensor or all of them. Best bet is to get the readings for all of this stuff via a dealer's Star system and see what the actual values are. If marginal replace the components.
