RF brake locked up. Scary!!!

RF brake locked up. Scary!!!
Hi,
I have an 02 ml320.
Yesterday I was driving steady at 40 mph when the right front brake locked up for approximately 3 seconds, it released for about 3 seconds then locked up again for about 3 seconds by this time I was stopping on the shoulder of the road.
I never touched the brakes!! I thought the rf wheel had come off?
I looked under the truck and saw nothing under it that would cause this to happen, the tires were all aired up and in tact.
I proceeded up the street slowly, increased speed then the same thing happened again.
I never touched the brakes!
I then called the stealer and they sent a wrecker.
Was this the abs getting a wrong signal?
They will not work on it until Tuesday because they are backed up in the mb shop.
Any ideas on my problem? Cost?
Had I been on the x-way at 80mph and this happened I would have surely spun out and most likely flipped!
After this I certainly encourage every ml owner to buckle up.

Thats scary dude.
I always have the idea of flipping this thing in the back of my mind.
I keep thinking about that MB safety video of the ML flipping over and over again. It seems to hold up pretty well in a roll over.
