MB Techs can be mindless!

With the list of service items included in the A and B services, why not do it yourself? I have found that there are plenty of undereducated techs at both the dealership and Sears. Just today, and I kid you not, I was talking to a service advisor about how his technicians had not found a failed CAT and MAF after three trips to the dealer. He explained that it had not shown up on the STAR diagnostics and I told him that his technicians should not trust the computer entirely and use analytical thinking as well. His reply..."Mercedes doesn't pay them to do that." Are you f***ing kidding me? We have essentially robots working on our cars doing only what a computer tells them to do. Not sure about you but that seals the deal for me, I'll do the work myself!
