W163 Shop/Repair Manual on PDF
Does anyone have a pdf version of the manual? I have access to the library version using ALLDATA but it is not detailed enough. I am trying to fix a stuck sunroof but I am sure it will come handy for other DIY work.

Your entire post does not make any sense at all.
First you speak of the entertainment system (what entertainment system?) then you say you are trying to fix the roof monitor (what is the roof monitor?), then you say you press the remote (what remote?).

Hi Major Dundee,
My ML has a flip down monitor/screen entertainment system for rear seat viewing and a video cassette player under the seat with an additional plug for a dvd player. The monitor has a small remote control and a red infrared on the top of the monitor. When I press it the light lits up but the monitor does not come on. I am trying to trouble shoot it and buy the dvd player. Thanks.

Dennis, here is all the available info on the VES: http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsite/VES.htm
The pdfs pertain to installation and operation but there is nothing available about faults except "Troubleshooting" in the owner's manual. Original components for replacement are no longer available. The manufacturer Rosen Electronics still makes roof-mounted monitors, which have come a long way since 2002.
