transmission problem!

hi i friend of mine has this 2000 ml320 and it's been at the dealer for 4 months on transmission problems, finaly the outcome of that inspection was the wire harness from the transmission computer to the transmission itself, but they told my friend they do not carry that part number so it's out of luck.
any one knows were i can get that part from? no local junkyard has ML's
Thanks.
