Would an ML55 AMG (01-03) be less than a lemon than a regular ML
I figured that since it is said to be "man made" by special AMG people from the factory, I am guessing that this would be less than a lemon?? What do you all think?
I have a chance to get one for $54,000, 2001 Black with only 3K miles?
Or should I just keep my order with the 03 ML500? which is $49,000

Well I haven't heard of any significant problems with the ML55, as some of its components are hand-built, etc. but then the questiona arises as to whether the performance, etc. of the ML55 is more important than the '02 updates that you will get in the '03 ML500.
Personally I would also be uncertain in this situation - see which one better fits your needs. The ML55 is a pretty good deal for that mileage.
Hope it helps.

I did test drive and "sat down" with the BMW X5. For a 6 cylinder 3.0, options per options, the ML500 beats it by a long shot. We calculated a $6000 difference in price even without Xenons yet. To me the X5 interior and front end is all too blan maybe that's because I already drive 3 BMWs.
But it just doesnt tickle my fancy.
Oh,!!! by the way, the BMW X5 has a GM (General Motors) automatic transmission and differential. (NO THANKS):p So Lemon, or no lemon, I think I'll just duke it out with the Benz.
