Brakes for 2000 ML 430

Hi
My brake light on the dash keeps flashing on/off. Does that mean it is time to replace the brake pads? what about the rotors?

Thanks
Nafees

Rotors have a minimum thickness and must be measured with a micrometer to determine if they need replacement. They should also be replaced if grooved or warped. They should not be turned or cut.

Do you know what the specs are for the rotors? Normal Thickness, and minimum? Also what torque when remounting the tires?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I believe that the min thickness is stamped on each rotor. Can't answer the torque question.

Torque should be 110 ft-lbs on the lug bolts.

I replaced my stock rotors on my ML320 with Brembo rotors and Porterfield R4S brake pads. They are an excellent combo. If you get porterfields you need to break them in properly.
