Sprint Booster
I have an 02 Ml500 and bought a sprint booster off of ebay for it.
I followed all the directions for the installation but unfortunately it will not work on the ML's (W163). There is nowhere to connect it like all other models.
If I am wrong please correct me anyone.

I'm 99.9% sure that it can be install. Most post-2000 model have the wire-drive-by throttle which the sprint booster installed into the gas paddle. But on the pre-2000 model, you need to find the throttle linkeage in the engine bay and follow it until the end. At the end of the throttle linkeage cable, there should be a connector that you can plug in your sprint booster. I know people that installed it on a 1998 Slk 230, 2000 SL 500...etc. Here's a couple example picture of a 2000 SL 500 with sprint booster installed.

What exactly is a sprint booster?
Thanks, I'd like to learn more about the performance improvement expected. I have a 2000 ML430 and love to get a little more out of it.

Its a small chip
I found this info below on ebay from a seller
The Sprint Booster might very well be the "smartest" gadget on your car. It is a device that improves acceleration by continuously measuring and converting the digital signal provided by the ECT's potentiometer, and providing the ECM with a new and altered signal.
The design of the Sprint Booster allows for its easy installation in all models, without the need to cut any wires or intervene in the automobile's electronics (it does not affect other systems such as electronic injection, ABS, etc.).
Its installation is extremely easy, requires no specific skills or tools – apart from a screwdriver – and takes only one minute. With the screwdriver in hand, you simply undo the safety connector clip and plug-in the device in the throttle's connector. The other end is plugged-in at the clamp that leads to the ECM. The device is "idiot proof" as one end is a male connector and the other female.
It can either be installed by you – using the easy step-by-step instructions below – or at any authorized dealer.

If you already have one. Try removing the one from your E55 and install it on the ML430 for Testing?

Out Of Control!!
how much the throttle changes... its not as much of a kick with the AMG version because AMGs have considerably more power

I installed a sprint booster on my 2002 ml500 and the engine would not rev up at all. when I put the car in drive it would only idle no matter how much I pressed on the gas pedal. I tried it sevral time
Does anyone know why this would happen?
