99 ML430 problem HELP

Hi, I have a 99 ML430 with 120k miles, the car recently started to acting up. for about a month (last 1000 miles), the oil high warning light has been coming on after a min. or two of driving then goes off and sometimes it comes back on sometimes it doesn't during driving I think mostly it happen on the freeway, and also I get occasional big cloud of smoke (white smoke with a tab of bluish) when I start the car or sometimes when I hit WOT at low speed. And just yester day the car stalled after driving about 5 blocks away from my house, and it won't start. It will keep cracking but won’t start, seems like no fuel. This morning I went over and tried it again the car started but it looks like its shooting water from the exhaust pipe. Does this sound like I need to replace the fuel pump? Also thinking might as well do the 120k mile tune up, does anyone know what needs to be done? Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

Its hard to diagnose something from the internet but if I had to guess, ur problems arent related. Id say most likely your crank sensor is going bad which caused the no start. They usually wont start when hot but will when cold if its a crank sensor. Also you will see some water from the exhaust, this is normal. As for the smoke, you are probably burning some oil which MLs do a lot. Unless its excessive, I wouldnt worry about it cause you are talking about a lot of money to replace the piston rings. Then lastly the oil high light sounds like either the oil is actually high or the level sensor is going bad and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help, i replaced the CPS and did oil/filter change, and so far so good with the no start problem, but the oil high still came back after i took the car on freeway. Any one has link to location of the oil level sensor? thanx

Sorry I didnt see your reply. The oil level sensor is located inside the oil pan. You need to remove the lower oil pan to access it. The electrical connection comes out of the top of the oil pan on the passenger side.
