Ironic what happened this week considering that MBCanada is giving us an award for longevity...our subscription to Roadside Assistance was cancelled without notice or explanation. I only found out when I called on Monday to renew and was told by the customer service rep that this service for vehicles off warranty was no long available. I've been paying an annual subscription fee for over 15 years and used it perhaps 3 or 4 times. I asked the rep for some written notice and he put me on hold to check but, oops, I was disconnected. Next submitted an online request to customer service and received a satisfaction survey in response. Ticked off "poor" and asked for a telephone call. That was Thursday so will see what happens next week.

Roadside pays the local dealer $109 for this job. My local dealer is a jerk (MB of Pleasanton). They simply stopped replying back to phone calls from the roadside program for this request to send a technician to my driveway to replace the battery on my dead vehicle.
Roadside then offered to tow the vehicle to the dealer. We did that. Roadside paid for it. Next day dealer called & said, I will have to now pay the $109 labor cost to replace the battery since the service is happening on dealer premises & not on the road. I called roadside back & they asked me to just pay & file reimbursement back with roadside.
With my vehicle stuck on the dealer lot with a dead battery, I reluctantly agreed.
Roadside is now denying my reimbursement request saying those labor charges are not their responsibility.
Bottomline is, with dealer charging $220/hr. on labor here, it is simply not worth it for them to provide this service for the $109. They would rather let the customer/Mercedes strand on the road then send a tech. to replace the battery.
So much for the reputation on longitivtiy & pride in long lasting Mercedes vehicles on the road.
I am not only out of $109 & left to fight for reimbursement, I was also out of my SUV for 2 days.

Just confirms my feelings that M-B is more interested in having its customers lease than own their vehicles; then they can sell the car twice! However, I've also noticed that newer used M-B's are being flogged off at auctions to non-Mercedes dealers rather than sold through Mercedes. Although vehicles up to 4 years old are eligible for the Certified Pre-Owned process, I have a feeling that costs of compliance and the liability of the extended warranties means that many eligible vehicles aren't being accepted into CPO program (especially AMG), hence they now appear more often as non-CPO at other dealers.

well it's the wife's car but we have driven many times cross country, it's a 2014 ML 550, it has 138,550 miles on it, hardly any issues. I always changed her oil with a good synthetic, specifically this one, and avoided hefty dealer charges doing it myself, a whopping 9 quarts! The tires wear out quickly though, may be an alignment issue, they already know me at the local tire place, lol.

2010 ML350 - Iridium Silver, Black Interior - Bought in 2012 - car has 79,650 miles
other than taillight water leak issue - nothing else in 9 years.
This is my wife's car - she loves the "secret drawer" when they did away with this - my wife has disliked how the dash transitions into the center console. till the 2021's

Mine is 250,000 kms.
Got an appointment with the local dealership to get my odometer verification, but they said they'd need to "inspect" the car as well to ensure that the readings haven't been hacked. Anybody have any experience with this? Or, are they just trying to get me in to fleece me a little?
Also mentioned that they'd have to look at it because they could see a recall on file (for an ABS issue) - I presume this is the brake light switch issue.

2002 ml320 - 393000 miles
I have 393K miles on my one owner ml320. I have both high mileage badges from MB. Transmission finally went out. Original drivetrain (engine, tranny, diffs, wheel bearings) All this and in its early days it towed a 4200 lbs trailer up and down the mountains in Colorado.

I just very recently was given the 2000 ML 320, have only had time to tinker a wee bit before we had to Leave to C. from NC. Will be returning late Wed. night., so the small repairs a lot of whibh are cosmetic, loose badges, oil change and such.
I was given the W163 from a friend who's mom had passed and our friend didn't want to get screwed trying to fix the little stuff. I had done some work for her to help her out over the years as so she gave me the SUV. Book value doesn't seem to be very much but this rig was driven by " The little ole lady from Pasadenia" and only to church as they say. So I'm rather sure someone will be drivin me to my resting place in the back of this Benz, That now has only 177,500 on the clock.

I'm currently at 95,000 miles on my ML. However, I recently had a bit of a hiccup with an accident, and while it's a bummer, I'm looking at the bright side. I plan on selling the car after the accident https://newmiddleclassdad.com/what-t...r-an-accident/, so this milestone marks the end of an era for me. Despite the setback, those miles have been filled with memories and adventures, and I'm grateful for all the reliability my ML has shown me.

2011 W204 C300 with 117K and a 2004 W163 ML350 with 199K.
Both start up and drive as if they rolled out of the factory last week.

Just changed the main water pump, it was noisy and also the wobble on the pully transferred thru the belt to the steering pump giving some strange oscillations when taking a sweeping bend.
I had been chasing that steering issue down for ages, so it was unexpected relief when replacing the water pump fixed it.
Wondering how long it can go before I will need to take the heads off for some reason, looking for some camshafts to put in when this happens, just mild for better lower end, not lumpy race.
