Just back from dealers, got the part a bit expensive I thought, aprox 100 euro/ 150 USD, anyway they cant repalce the part for me for a least 2 weeks, so i thought I might have a go, how dificult could it be?, the dealer wanted to sell adhesive (special for the job) at 60 euro plus labour if they did it. would be nearly 250 euro well over 300 USD, so will give it a shot and see how it goes. Anybody done this can advise or give any tips, do I need special adhesive?, checking the link as posted above, thanks for that.

I wouldnt replace them if they arent cracked, just wet sand down all the clear coat off of them, and wax them up... they'll look just fine after that

I have only used the black MB sealer, that is all I ever had.

To get them off heat it up with a heat gun and pry it off with a wedge (or screwdriver, but that can scratch the paint under the cover). You could try a rope saw but that scratches the hell out of the paint.
Once the panel is off just cut away some of the old sealant and apply new. Hold the panel on with tape for a few hours-day.
