Remote power door lock problem

Remote power door lock problem
Before the remote lost its function to lock/unlock the doors, I noticed the door was jumping crazy when I opened the door. Here are the symptoms:
1. None of the buttons on the remote work.
2. When key is moved, the steering wheel lock does not engage and the warning beeper goes off when the door is opened.
Please advice what is the problem. Thanks.
