Help! Power folding mirrors 02ML320 Not Opening
Let me start off by saying I jinxed myself.
No more than 5 minutes earlier, I was telling my wife's cousin that I hadn't had any problems with my 02 ML320 in the 7 years that I've owned it, after he mentioned that Mercedes' quality isn't what it used to be.
Sure enough, when I went to pull my SUV out of his driveway, where we had folded the mirrors to allow people to walk past it unencumbered, they wouldn't open.
I tried checking all of the fuses, but I didn't find any blown. Neither side is moving, and now it also seems as if the window switches are behaving erratically (the auto-up and auto-down no longer work, you need to hold the switch).
I had to force the mirrors open, and they're flopping a bit.
So I've got two questions - is there a fuse or relay that I should investigate, or is there potentially a switch that has gone bad? Failing that - is there any way to properly manually override the folding mechanism, so I can open the mirrors all the way and the flopping movement will stop?
Thanks in advance for any help...

Most likely the switch module in the consol has failed. Easy fix. Only problem is that by forcing your mirrors open you could have damaged them and thats an expensive fix.

On my 2001 ML320, replacing Fuse 31 (F31) under the hood fixed my issue.
