ML500 - turns over good, but no start ... help
this morning, the car does not start. it turns over just fine but no start. it's almost like if you're out of gas, but I have half tank and never had any problems before. got home last night, and no start this morning.
Please let me know if there is something I can check before having towed to dealer in the morning.
thanks,
2002 ML500

dealer just called ..... CPS and it's a bargain, only $550 part and labor... Nice rip off job.
the part is $136 at dealer, $57 on line wholesale. labor is not even 15 minutes. they're chargine me for 1 hour labor and part ($300) and then another 2 house for re intialize, diagnose, etc. I guess when the car selling business is slow that's how you make up for it.

dealer charged me 320 for a CPS installed - thats even a bit more than I should have paid, but it was -20*f at the time so i decided not to do it myself

Sorry to see you got banged up like that. You could have replaced 7 of them, yourself, for that. But the ML500 isn't a breeze to replace. It took me over an hour on the ML430 because the engine is so close to the firewall. The ML320 took 15 minutes.
