ML350 BAS light on after brake pressed
Hi Guys...
Need some help please. My wife's ML350 2003 has developed a fault 5 days after extended warrenty has run out! Driving and all 3 lights on left hand side of consul came on(ESP/BAS/ETS/ABS). Sent vehicle to indie who replaced rear right abs sensor. Tested vehicle all lights went out..HooraYY!!!!! for 5 minutes everything was fine then went to re-start car and as soon as the brake was operated to put into drive the BAS light illuminated. Stop engine re-start and light goes out. Press brake and light comes on etc etc etc. Codes say BAS Travel sensor not operating. Can this be replaced or (hoping) does someone have a wiring diagram they could share with me...Please help as this is driving me nuts!!!! Thanks in advance

I got BAS/ESP light today....and my gear box was stuck in PARK. I had it towed to my friend's shop.
I notice the parking brake release seems loose, but still was able to release the parking brakes.
Anybody know what could be the culprit?

For future reference, if your ML ever gets stuck in park again. Take a pen or pencil and insert it the little hole located at the bottom of the shifting column. This will allow you to get the car out of park.

Thanks...I found that out after the car was towed...LOL...but I had AAA so towing was free.
Btw...it was the brake light switch at the pedal....simple DIY fix.
