Newbie needs help
Hi All,
I am about to buy a 1999 ML430 from a Mercedes-Benz dealer. The car has 94K miles on it and looks clean inside/out. The service book has entries at every ~10K miles until 80k. They don't know what happened after that.
Before the sale, the dealer agreed to put two new tires and fix the rear struts, ball joints, rear brakes and pads, tail light and put an inspection sticker on the car. The final sale price is $8,200.
My questions is; what are some important pieces I need to pay attention on a car like this? Any known mechanical or other defects that I need to be aware of? Also, what do you think of the sale price? It is higher than the Excellent value of KBB but considering the work they are doing I think it might worth it.
Finally, can anyone run a carfax or autocheck and email me the report?? I don't want to become a member for a one time thing.
Thank you. I appreciate your time.
