We've updated our reliability stats for the M-Class to include owner experiences through September 30, 2012.
Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:
2000: 108, worse than average, very small sample size
We'll have further updates in February and May. We'd love to provide more precise stats and cover more model years--just a matter of getting more owners involved.

Reliability on the original '98 ML? You just need to know one thing - My dad was the original owner of his, and it has like 160k miles and is still running perfectly, stock, no parts have been replaced AT ALL.

Unfortunately no stats for the W163 this time around. (Much better coverage of more recent years.)

Our reliability stats for the M-Class now cover the year ending June 30, 2015. (Others are over a year behind, and so report how these cars were doing when a year younger.)
