when taking off the transnission will go through all the gears fine but when goin around a turn i go to accelerate and the trans revs up then slams. happens when im coming up to a turn i slow down make the turn at 30mph go to accelerate then i get the rev then slams.any ideas or is the trans going.120,000 miles

Before concluding that the tranny is on its way out, I would check all other componenents of the drive train..especially the differentials..

Were the tranny/differentials/transfer case serviced at 100K miles? If not, that was a big mistake...they should be flushed and replenished with fresh fluids at 100K miles..
