Door Lock Bouncing Up and Down
Greetings All!
I've just bought a 1998 ML320. Love the ride! The only problem I am having to date is the drivers side lock bounces up and down when I try to remote lock it. What is the fix for this? What senses the lock position?
I hope to be on this site often.

Holy Crap you all love throwing that money away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's called "Enginered Product Consumption". and it pisses me off that Mercedes uses this ***** to drag people into the shop to extort cash.
#1 pry off the plastic wood door pull trim and take out the screws.
#2 pry off the door cover
#3 Remove the lock plunger from the door trim bezel hole thing.
#4 Look at it. You will see that the two "Tangs" on the trim bezel, (that are intanded to hold it in place) will also interfere with the lock plunger. Look at the photos and fix it. save the money for some very VERY good scotch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ML430
door locks on my ML430 gave in last week. They get all jumpy and will not stay down. i figured it is the drivers side passenger door lock which may be buggered, which i need to hold down and then press a few times on the remote to lock the doors. then i need to manually lock the drivers side. what a pain. need to research on this site on how to fix this.
