how do i take of the rear plastic bumper of.........
a 2000 ml430 ? can anyone help please. i need to take it off and then repaint it. thanks for the help.

It's fairly simple. Gently pry out the 3 plastic squares, leave them hanging. This exposes the bolts that hold the cover on. Remove the bolts, the cover should feel loose. The cover slides on guides on the tops of the ends near the wheel wells. The cover has to slide by the black wheel liners. Carefully pry the black liners by the edge of the bumper. The cover should slide off. Don't let it drop, there is a wire attached to it that needs to be unhooked.
Hopefully this makes some sense, it's kind of hard to describe the process, but if you're careful and just look at where it's attached, you'll see how it comes off. It's not really very tough to do.
