dash light meaning?

2000 ML 430
dash light meaning?
I have a 2000 ml 430 and this light just came on, what does it mean? Is it driveable in the mean time?
I have an owners manual but I left it at home when I went to college and my dad doesn't have the key to my safe

As I recall that means low coolant. Have it checked and topped off. While you are at it look for any leaks or bad hoses and tighten up all the hose clamps. Yes you can drive it if its not overheating but take corrective action right away before it becomes an issue.

That is the coolant light. It can be driven with that light. Mine has been on for atleast the past 2 months or so. No leaks that are visible. I fill up the coolant though about every week and a half. Has not come even near to over heating as of yet.

Never drive a vehicle with a coolant light.

Sorry, I had to use that.
Typically, the hose that connects to the bottom of the radiator (i.e. where you drain the system) can dry-rot. If that's the case, you can trim off a little rubber, then re-attach.
