I need to know how to remove the torsion bar on my ML430 and then replace it. I'm a newbie to car work so step by step instructions would be of great help and any pictures would be a bonus. I had to replace the catalytic converter on the passenger side of the car the welds broke. I've removed it, by cutting it out, but now I need to install the new one and I have seen where I need to remove the cross member or support for the transmission. That looks easy, I don't know anything about the torsion bar. I've even found the Service Campaigne Bulletin, but that just refers the tech to another page in the service manual (which I don't have). Please help!
