ML 350 (2007 or 2008) 4 Matic
I own C240 and now loking for pre-owned ML, any idea what year I should go for ? My dealer said 2007 ML are in 35K range and 2008 are 40+
My 2002 C240 (purchased brand new) started falling apart after 7 years and 80K miles on dashboard so not willing to go for brand new ML.

depends where you are located I guess. I went out the door for a 2008 ML350 4matic with P1, appearance package, running boards, HK sound, 6 disc changer, power lift gate, Ipod integ, heated leather, with 23,400 miles in aug of 09 for 36500 in the Chicagoland area. I thought it was a pretty good deal, had been looking for several months very seriously.
Im nort sure what exactly is included in the P1 so I included the bigger ticket items.
Same vehicle with the P2 was pushing 38-39k before negotiations. Diesels were 42 to 45k...

I am on Ohio, 36500 for 2008 that too in Aug 2009 pretty good deal considering the warrenty left at that time, not sure why my dealer is pushing it on 40+. I burn my fingers with quality issues on on 2002 C 240. I asked for 35K deal on 2008 and my dealer told me I should not even waste my time looking at 2008 as all of them are going at 40+ !!!

I recently bought an 08 ML350 fully loaded, I mean everything including the rear entertainment system, heated steering wheel, running boards, front and rear SS plates, auto hatch, rear heated seats and so on. I bought cpo from my local MB dealer with 24k miles (black on black) for $44k. Sure maybe a bit high but they did way better on my trade too.

hummm thanks for the input, any advise of going for lease 2010 ML and then buy it after lease is over?? do I need to break bank for that or it works out economical?? for example now 2007 ML you are getting in the range of 35 K from dealer, if I leased that in year 2007 from MBUSA was there offer in the same range? (35K to buyback after my 3 year lease ends)
Sorry for complex post but you all are wonderful and experienced people over there so any insight will be highly appreciated

I am personally not a fan of leasing....I feel as if my money is better spent owning a car for several years outright instead of "renting it". It would be great to get a new car every 3 years, but I dont rent houses either.
just my 2 cents.
