I have a 2000 ML320. so the other day i get in my car and the start it up. it started it up all normal with n0 problem, but i noticed that all my guages from my instrument panel were dead.. my gas, rpm, oil, and odometer will not move its like if the car is dead.. i checked the fuses and they are good. is their a relay that makes them work? if their is ehere is it so i can go ahead and check it or what can be the problem???

The only common item is Fuse 1 in the interior fuse box which supplies the instrument gauge cluster. The only other item is the CAN bus which actually runs the instruments and warning/advisory lights.

The CAN bus is a common data link that connects the instruments to the various sensors, The fuse is located in the rh kick panel fuse box. If it's not the fuse, or a loose connection then you are better off looking for a service tech. With the number of computers and modules involved with the various functions of the car, it will take a bit more knowledge than I have

check fuse #5 in the kick panel, the one we all use to reset the highly accurate fuel level sensor(!) I left mine out when refueling and the none of the dash guages and lcd displays worked until refitted.

Thanks, sweeper. I had checked the fuse/relay in the main box but missed the one in the kicker panel. ML320 2002, fuse 5. You did a good thing.
