Angry ML55 (W163) Heater and Air Conditioning airflow question...

My 2000 ML55 blows cold air from all vents including the defroster vents when the A/C is on. Moreover, it will also blow hot air from ALL the vents when the temp is set to heat. The direction of the air will not change no matter where the right dial is turned. If the dial is set to floor for heat, the air is hot from the center vents. Is there a cable or some other control device in the dash that can either be fixed or replaced? Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

There is a problem with either the control for the system or the actual "flapper" doors that control the airflow. Best go to a dealer for this one.
