check engine light
Hi,
I have a check engine light on and the car idles a bit rough when I have the A/C on. Idle is smoother when A/C is not running. Any ideas? MAF, 02 sensor?
Wires and plugs are 1 yr old.
Current mileage is 158K 2000 ML 55
Can Autozone read my codes? Where do you plug in the Code reader?
Thanks

His mama. Traded y0 mama in because she was squeaking.
Sorry, crystal ball is still in the shop getting a tune-up.
Until it comes back, you should go have Autozone read any codes stored in the computer.
The Data Link Connector (DLC) is in the same damned spot as most OBDII cars. Under the driver side dash.
Let us know what codes you come up with.

Kragen and Autozone dont do code scan around here in So Cal. Sux.
Luckily I went to my indy. He scan the code free since I give him my business.
Hot Air mass sensor & Secondary air pump bring up codes.
He said I should change the MAF since the secondary air pump tested to be working properly.
I ordered the MAF for $165 and have to bring it back to my Indy to clear the codes. Let see what happens.

Pay the stealer for the code reading, I did that before, and it was the O2 sensor by the intake, they wanted over $300, the part was half that and you don't need any tools to do the swap in 15 minutes.
