Cracked my sideview mirror, how much to fix?

36,000 miles and all my 'accidents' have been in my garage.. argh. Pulling out today and I hit the passenger rearview mirror into the side, pushing it back and cracking the glass. I caught it in time to pull forward, so the mechanism is still fine and everything works fine, except there's just a big crack down the middle of the glass on the sideview mirror. Three questions
1) Can they replace just the glass?
2) Any thoughts on how much it would cost to replace the glass?
3) Is this something only the dealer can do, or is it a better idea to check out local repair shops?
Thanks

Sideview Mirror Replacement:
About two months ago, a friend of mine had the mirror severely cracked on his truck. While his truck was parked, a bicyclist riding in the opposite direction brushed his driver’s-side mirror hard as he went by, causing the mirror housing to fold inward and shattering the mirror.
My buddy had only the glass replaced by Del Ray Glass in Arlington, VA. (Luckily, nothing else on the vehicle was damaged.) The folks at Del Ray told him that they replace these mirrors all the time. Total cost: $27.00 and one hour of his time. His dealership wanted $300+.

My wife did the samething.
I think the mirror was maybe $50. You lever out the old one, disconnect the electrical leads. Connect the leads to the new mirror. Position the mirror relative to the plastic clips and snap press it back in place. (don't use a hammer.....)
It is straight forward.

Thank you
Thank you.. my car will be due for its A or B checkup soon, so I'll have the dealer give me an estimate when they are doing that. If they don't try to screw me I'll just use them for the convenience factor, otherwise I'll go for a local fix-it shop. Knowledge is power! thanks again

dealer wanted 500
My local MB dealer wanted $500 to replace the side-view mirror. I said no way and will find a local place to replace the glass, since that's all that's really broken..
Appreciate the info again so I didn't get ripped off!
