MB voucher

MB just sent me a voucher for $1000 to use to buy or lease a new MB. Is business that bad? Is that offer widespread? Did anyone get other than $1000.

But that should be negotiating "food for thought" if nothing else.

Actually business is very good. I just read that MB sales were best ever, I believe in the last quarter or four quarters. I think they're just trying to do more business.

How do you get one of those vouchers? Are they mailed to MB owners only?
Is there an expiration date on them, and what are the restrictions?

My understanding

M-Class owners offered $1000 voucher on purchase or lease on most of the line. Not transferable, but if you can get the dealer to bite, you can sure have mine. According to Edmunds, there is also $2000 factory to dealer incentive, and low lease and interest rates. When you add it all together, (margin, incentive, holdback, and voucher), that is 20-25% on a 350; it looks like a good time to buy, if you are interested. And they're STILL making money.

Unfortunately, that $2K incentive is only on ML320’s. But, I’d appreciate if you could send me your voucher. If it saves me anything, I’ll remember you , if not I can send it back to you.
However, my current lease is ending at the end of this year and that’s when I plan to get a new vehicle.

Thanks, I got it.

I’ll visit some dealers in Chicago area and see what are they going to say, since the voucher is valid only when presented by the person named on its face.

Here's a thought

They will know you are serious. That 1000 is somewhere in the Daimler Chrysler vortex; the slip of paper just indicates you are aware it exists.

You aren't getting out of that pizza that easy!
