Northern lights

Hi, can anyone help me out with my lights ? my ML270cdi 2002 has had lights set on auto for several months no problems, turned them off the other night now they won't work on auto or parking, everything else working fine, any ideas ? thanks

check the fuses...open the hood on your right next to the fender with black cover open that up.

Could be a fault on Relay K6..Try to jump the pins for those lights and see if it works.

I have EXACTLY the same problem......i've tried everything to get them to work again without success........did you find the cause?............anyone?

The way these parking lights work is as follow. The left and right sides are operated from the Combination Switch to the relays to the fuse and then to the lights. The left and right side have individual relays and fuses.

Working with the left side parking lights, remove the K13 relay. Fashion a small piece of elec. wire stripped at both ends. With the key in the on and the combo. switch turned to parking lights, ,stick one end of the wire into slot #30 at the fuse box and test for battery voltage at the other end of the wire with a test light or DVOM. Then do the same for slot #86.
