ML350 Bixenons

I want bi-xenons for an ML 350. I saw in other threads that there are some pin changes involved, adaptors, etc., and dealer would have to reprogram the AAM (for '02s and '03s) to know that bi-xenons are installed. I called Performance Products and was told that they have a complete kit of bi-xenons for $1,315 and that it is easy to install and you don't need to go to the dealer to reprogram. The dealer says that bixenon headlights could actually cost about $1,000. Please let me know which info is accurate. Many thanks.

Check the archives- someone else on here bought the kit from Performance Products and had a number of problems with it. It didn't go as easily as they claimed, but they are possible to install.

My dealer charges $1,000 to retrofit xenons to the C-Class cars (v.$750 from the factory). You're already putting out that much money, just get it from the dealer and save the hassle. Dealer also doesn't void the warranty!
