tires for ml500

replacing ml500 tires, currently have ronal wheels 18inchx9 front by9.5 rear, with noisy pirelli scorpion zeros, would like to go to a quiet road tire, with reasonable tread life, performance etc.
live in florida no snow almost always on pavement. recomendations on tires..

My ML500 has the OEM Continental Contact 4X4's. Find them to be very good in almost all conditions including snow/ice which you do not have. Excellent in rain and quiet. Had Dunlops on my 98ML320 and they were a bit noisy and hard riding.

Thanks, but I do not know if they come in the size I need, Continental only lists one 18 inch tire and it is 265-70. I currently am running 285-50s. How much difference will this make, tread and profile. 20% less tread or 20% more tread. I do not want to go to a lower profile tire. Suggestions

Mercedes-Benz
get the dunlop SP9000. They come in 285/50. They are real quiet tires, excellent in the rain. OEM approved.

ML500
Mine came with the Dunlop SP 5000's. Wouldn't recommend those, not a great tire. I've had all four balanced & re-balanced a couple of times, still can't get them vibration free. Maybe the 9000's are better?
