Just wondering if self installation of HID kits and other modifications to body like non-OEM fender flares, step bars, paint designs etc. will invalidate the warranty. What will invalidate the warranty? Thanks.

 

No, they don't affect the warranty, per se. That is, if do everything correctly. However, common sense says that if you, for example, drill holes to install fender flares, then have a rust problem around the holes, you can't expect the warranty to cover that. Likewise with the HID's, if you have electrical problems as a result of an incorrect install, you're on your own there too.

But, if your transmission blows up, the can't decline coverage because you added HID's.
