1999 Mercedes ml430

door lock rear will not lock,

right rear door lock will not engage, when the remote is used the right rear lock does not lock. when you start to drive and lock tries to lock it does not.

Does it rapidly move up and down multiple times?
My passenger side lock did that. Needed to replace the door lock actuator. Cost over $400

im having the same problem with my 2 rear doors they sound like machine guns lol. did u change then yourself? if so how big of a job and what steps did u take?

Here are the instructions. You should also make sure you have the proper tool to remove the door panel clips to prevent them from breaking.
