Strange A/C Question. Cold when cool, not when hot!!
Please help! My 2003 ML350 (95,000 miles) will immediately blow cold air when the outside air is in the low 80's.
But when the outside air is hot (90's) it will take up to 10 minutes to blow cold air after the first start up of the day. I have started the car and felt the large high pressure hose along tbe firewall ( as suggested by a member here), but the hose doesn't get cold within 5 minutes!
Once the car has been driven a bit, it willl immediately blow cold after start up.
Any advice?? Is there some sort of outside air temperature switch that controls the A/C?
I really appreciate anyadvice/guidance you can offer!

sounds like you need to charge the AC, probably a good idea to get the AC system tested for leaks, just like most fluid handeling systems, the ac should be run at least every month for a minimum of 10 minutes to keep all the o-rings and gaskets lubricated.
