overheating 430

Hi,

I have an Ml430 1999, 203000km but overall good condition. No problems at normal speeds, but heats up a little too much when climbing or at slow speed. New radiator, coolant reservoir, hoses all sound and no leaks. Electric fans don't appear to be engaging, but fuse and relay ok. Any suggestions?

thanks, Peter

Have you considered the fan clutch? My ml 430 was running a too warm (100*C) around town with stop and go and peaking over 80*C on the freeway. Took it into the shop and they said the fan clutch was not engaging, replaced and now my around town temps are below 80*C.
