Damsel In Distress: Fuel Trim Malf & BAS ESP
Just bought 01 ML320 with only 69K and had to replace a power steering hose and now getting check engine light and BAS ESP light (comes and goes). On check engine one guy told me Air Mass Flow, then light went away, now they're telling me it's P0170 and O0173 Fuel Trim Malfunction. The car is driving great. No noise, smooth...just had the oil and filter changed...what do I do??? Also, if it is MAF can we replace it or a real mech has to do it? (at autozone guy told me it's something we could replace at home, it's really easy) need help, pleeeeasee!!!!

Are your brakes making any noises? Was there a code for the brakes? Touch the discs are they worn?
What lights are on right now?
Try disconnecting the battery! You have to put in your radio code after you hook the power back up so make sure you have that handy or you will not be able to turn the communications(Radio)* center on.
My radio code is 26662 hahahah

It could also be a wheel speed sensor, but less likely.
In the event the problem includes not being able to get the gearshift lever out of park when the BAS or ESP lights come on, there is a manual override. Check that out also just to be prepared. HINT: keep an old fashioned lead pencil in the car!
