Why don't you get a Bentley if you want status. I'm sure you can afford it, seeing as how you have over $1 million worth of cars "on-order."
I don't see the point of buying a car based on how much "status" you will obtain by driving it.
But, it seems to me that X5's and ML's are a dime a dozen. I live in New York, and I see at least 10 ML's an hour being driven by soccer mom's.
The G55 will get you noticed, but is it really the kind of attention that you want?
