Why don't you get a Bentley if you want status. I'm sure you can afford it, seeing as how you have over $1 million worth of cars "on-order."

I don't see the point of buying a car based on how much "status" you will obtain by driving it.

But, it seems to me that X5's and ML's are a dime a dozen. I live in New York, and I see at least 10 ML's an hour being driven by soccer mom's.

The G55 will get you noticed, but is it really the kind of attention that you want?

It seems that he's mocking people who have a great deal of their self-worth tied up in the cars that they own, or potentially have on order, like someone with a lameass sig like:

M3, M5, M6
Bose, Bi-Xenon, Parktronic

Ordered:
03 C230K Sedan - Black/Charcoal
6-Speed, C2, C4
Bose, CD, Heated Seats"

Like someone is really interested in the fact that someone has a dime-a-dozen SUV with Parktronic.
