Yes, but only if it is the same exact number.

What makes you think you need one?

Oh boy here goes. Bought a 2001 ml 320 a week later noticed a rough idle no cel. I plugged in my scanner and o2 code came up. So I decided to take the cluster off and check for missing bulb. Low an behold the cel, bas, ets and abs and brake light bulbs were missing. I replaced them and upon start up the 3 lights on the left were on.
I replaced the brake switch and the relays , lights still on. Had a shop read the codes and yaw, brake switch, steering angle sensor, abs pump, ESP module and a few more I think came up. So another member was parting out his ml and I changed the yaw and lateral speed sensor. Lights still on. I then changed the abs pump and the truck now beeps when I drive and stops when I stop.
I figure the abs pump has to get initialized during the brake bleeding to get the air out from the pump?
I probed the power and ground wire from the pump harness and I'm only getting 11 volts with truck running. Checked the harness for kinks and noticed nothing.
I finally pulled the ESP controller out and behind it was inscribed with a sharp object the words "I ****vyour ****".
So I figure the person who sold me the truck could not afford the damn thing and decided to sell.
This is my wife's truck and I feel so bad especially with the beeping noise.
Sovim looking for an ESP module for replacement. This might be the source of the problem warning lights. I don't know what else to do.
I also changed Power steering pump reservoir and hoses and I still get a small puddle of fluid when I park.
This truck has become a nightmare as now it wants to shut off(and sometimes does) and stutters sometimes when I take off. I ordered a new maf as the bank 1 and 2 lean codes and maf circuit code came on.

Thanks for paying some interest Dundee as I know these issues were discussed so many times before but I cannot find a definitive answer.

HELP!!!

Rock.

Did the shop give you the numerical code numbers?

This is going to cost you a fortune if you just keep throwing parts at it. Ordering a MAF sensor doesn't say too much but I have the suspicion that you ordered it online, which is not a good idea. Can you cancel the order?

Here are the codes from the shop
C1140
C1120
C1200
C1210
C1401
C1000
C1025
The cel codes from my scanner are pO171, po173 and Po100, they keep coming on after I clear them. So I figure it's the maf as the precat o2's were already changed and one of the cats welled shut already.
I ordered the maf already it's coming Wednesday.

topdeez, your two posts are very confusing and difficult to understand.

In post #3 you mention getting an O2 sensor code. You don't say what the code was nor do you say if you changed the O2 sensor.

Then in post #5 you say that you changed both upstream O2's and that one of the cat's. welded shut already. What does this mean?

Where did you order the MAF sensor from and how much did you pay?

The fist thing you should do is check the level of your brake fluid. If it is low fill to the mark and then test drive and see if the beeping/alarm stops.

If it doesn't, then with a DVOM take an Ohm reading at the two wires (Pink & Tan) at the Brake Fluid Reservoir. If you get an Ohm reading that means that the switch is closed and needs to be replaced. This problem relates to code C1210.

If the switch is not the problem, then you will have to buy a K6 relay which is the ESP Stop Lamp Suppression Relay. It is blue and is the only one of its kind in the fuse box. If it is missing then your problems are solved and you will have to buy one. If it's there buy one at the dealer and replace it. This problem relates to code C1200.

Dundee,

One of my cats were cracked at the seams and exhaust was leaking from it. I had the muffler shop weld it shut and changed both my O2 sensors as the truck has 150000 miles. That solved my o2 codes in the beginning.
Now I get bank 1&2 lean and po101 maf.
I ordered the maf from autohaus for 200 with shipping(coming thursday)
I checked ohms at brake reservoir and set my meter to 20k. It read 5.33 ohms with truck off and nothing with truck running.
I just added some brake fluid and I'm about to drive off. The level was a little under half. Fingers crossed.

10 mins later the beeping continues

I already changed relays k6 and k25 from the dealer

What next?

Repeat the test on the switch with the connector disconnected.

What is the part number of your ESP module?

I have a regular Actron scanner for obd2 codes and some other readings.
